David Aula

For many years David had two careers: in traditional Learning and Development, and in the theatre. He saw how the tried and tested techniques of learning could be supercharged with the imagination, viscera and experientiality of the theatre. That this potent combination might be just what is needed to meet the complex human problems of our time. Theatre at its best shows us impossible things made possible - as do the best coaches, facilitators and trainers. And so, he founded Unfeasible. Since founding the company in late 2021, David has been approaching this work from four areas: helping individuals evolve their mindsets; developing skills training for a more alive world; creating cultural experiences that helps group decide what matters; and midwifing the re-birth of organisations into living, learning systems, where before they were deadened, brittle hierarchies.

Unfeasible clients include: the Joseph Roundtree Foundation, Hartlepool Collaboration Superpowers (with Easier Inc); South West NHS End of Life Teams; London Borough of Haringey Regeneration Department; Curve Royalty Systems; Kavli Centre for Science, Ethics and The Public; the Player Care Group; Everoze Renewable Energy Consultancy; Duke University Corporate Education; Football Beyond Borders and Newquay Orchard, alongside one-to-one private coaching clients and working as Lead Facilitator and Account Manager for React: Acting for Business, bringing learning to life for clients such as Roland Berger (Europe’s largest consultancy), Ashridge Business School (Hult EF) and General Electric (Renewables).

David lives in Cornwall with his wife Caitlin - who has recently integrated working with parents-to-be so they might have uncommonly positive birthing experiences into Unfeasible’s portfolio - and their two young son’s Wilf and Forrest. David is an enthusiastic, though not particularly gifted, surfer. He and his sons are expert sea monster hunters, intermediate trampoliners and budding hot-chocolate connoisseurs.

Addiction has touched David’s life in many ways and he believes that will all have much to learn from those souls courageous enough to seek out treatment and embark on recovery.
